Features

Everything PrintQuote does to estimate your PDF printing cost.

PrintQuote analyzes a PDF on your Android device, tells you how many pages are color, grayscale, black-and-white, or blank, and turns that into an estimated cost using the rates you set.

Color page analysis

PrintQuote analyzes each page of a PDF and identifies the pages that contain color. A single colored logo or chart can change how a page is priced, and this is hard to judge by scrolling. Knowing the exact number of color pages is the first input to any realistic estimate.

Guide: How to Count Color Pages in a PDF Before You Print It

Black-and-white and grayscale analysis

Pages without color are classified as black and white or as grayscale and counted separately, so each group can carry its own rate. Together with the color count, this gives you the page split that drives your cost.

Blank page detection

Blank pages are identified separately from the other page types. The Estimate screen lets you exclude blank pages so they are not charged, and they still appear in the page counts.

Printing rate configuration

Print shops, libraries, offices, and home printers all charge differently. You set a rate for each page type, so the estimate reflects your situation instead of a generic average.

Cost calculation

PrintQuote multiplies each page type by the rate you configured and adds it up. The result is an estimate based on your inputs. It is not a quote from any printing company, and the final price depends on that company.

Detailed PDF breakdown

Review page counts and results by type, so it is clear where the money goes. If color pages make up most of the cost, you can decide whether that is worth it before you print.

Share the estimate

Share the estimate straight from the results screen. The app labels it as an estimate based on automatic PDF classification, so check it before quoting a customer.

Saved preferences

Save your printing prices as defaults so you do not re-enter them for every document, and reset to your saved defaults after changing them.

Local processing

PDF analysis happens locally on your device. PrintQuote does not upload your PDF documents to a remote processing server. For full details about what the app does and does not collect, read the privacy policy.
